Here's yet another example of media reporting nearly the exact opposite of what the facts actually show, in order to say something shocking and sensational about electric cars.

Electric vehicles have nearly 80% more problems and are generally less reliable than cars propelled by conventional internal combustion engines, according to a new report from Consumer Reports.
“According to a new report from Consumer Reports” — well, I’m seeing it summarized right here in this news article, so there’s no need for me to click through and read the original, which is a survey of Consumer Reports subscribers reporting 12 months of experience on 330,000 vehicles. So it’s a pretty good data set. What happens if we do click through to read it?
