Here's one: UFOlogists think our neutrino detectors are "directed energy weapons"
Honestly, you just can’t make this stuff up. I mean, you could, but nowhere as fast as the UFOlogists do — and they’re serious
Steven Greer is a career UFOlogist best known for his Disclosure Project, a currently-defunct website advocating for the government to disclose that it maintains an ongoing relationship with aliens here on Earth. Every few years he rents a meeting room at the National Press Club in Washington, DC to hold one of his mini-UFO conferences, which he then (somewhat deceptively) calls a “National Press Club Event.” He held one just the other day, presumably timed to coincide with the release of his latest yada-yada-UFOs!-yada-yada documentary The Lost Century: And How to Reclaim It. (He was probably pretty bummed that all his thunder was stolen by David Grusch shocking the media with the “whistleblower” revelation that a ghost hunter once told him the government has crashed flying saucers.)
Anyway, one of the speakers at Greer’s “Disclosure Press Conference” was Eric Hecker, self-described “plumber for some of the wealthiest people in the world,” who spent one year practicing his trade at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in 2010. Hecker spoke for just under 5 minutes to reveal all that he had observed about what the scientists at the South Pole are really up to.
