Next week's classified UFO briefing, explained
Yes, they're having another one... fortunately we won't get to see it.
This is just a quick free post for all (but subscribe if you appreciate this newsletter!) since there’s some breaking news this morning.
All the usual outlets that report UFO news (Newsmax, Axios, News Nation, Daily Fail, etc.) are reporting that the UFO Caucus of the House Oversight Committee is having a classified briefing on Tuesday of next week. Is there any new news? No. This is what’s going on:
You may remember in July 2023, longtime UFOlogist David Grusch (the “whistleblower”) was introduced to the world in a public House Oversight Committee hearing organized by Rep. Tim Burchett at the urging of UFO personalities Leslie Keane and George Knapp. Grusch claimed that some 40 friends in the UFO and Skinwalker Ranch communities had told him there are government groups with crashed spaceships and alien bodies. Grusch mentioned the long-debunked Roswell and Mussolini UFO cases, but refused to give any further details outside of a classified environment.
Grusch has since refused all requests to testify in a classified environment.
Frustrated, Burchett sent a letter in August 2023 to the Office of Inspector General of the Intelligence Community, demanding a classified briefing about whatever these alien programs might be.
The office has agreed to do so, and that’s the meeting being reported to be held on Tuesday (Jan 9 2024). It will be classified and behind closed doors.
The office will simply advise Burchett’s group that no such programs exist.
And that’s all. There’s nothing to see here.
Ha! I beg to differ. The classified meeting will be filled with eye-popping revelations, heart-stopping exhibits, and all sorts of things the UFO community can now parade around with vague-but-sinister allusions. Or so we'll be reading in the outlets you mentioned. Maybe a whole new History Channel special as a result. *Sigh*
