SOLVED: The Lake Michigan Stonehenge!
Is this circle of stones underneath Lake Michigan truly the 10,000 year old mysterious megalithic compound it appears to be? Guess!
One of the stories that’s always going around on Alternative History and Ancient Mysteries websites is that a circle of standing stones — an underwater Stonehenge — has been found at the bottom of Lake Michigan. The story goes that an archaeologist named Mark Holley with Northwestern Michigan College discovered them while doing a sonar survey looking for shipwrecks in 2007. Most incredibly of all, one of the stones “in the outer circle” features a carving of a mastodon.

The websites ask: Was this ancient Stonehenge site erected by a prehistoric people 10,000 years ago when the lake waters were receded? Why has this incredible find not received more attention?
