From the UFO Seekers YouTube channel, we have the week’s newest UFO shocker: a “never ending” UFO sighting over Area 6! Area 6, it may be necessary to explain, is one of the many “areas” defined in and around the Nevada Test Site back in the day by the Atomic Energy Commission when they were ramping up to do the nuclear tests — Area 51 being, of course, the most familiar. You can see Area 6 on this cool old map:
The sighting was described as “never ending” because for the whole of the video’s 11-minute length, UFOs were constantly flying past, and presumably were before and after the end of the video. They were moving generally west to east (left to right in the video) but each was on a bit different path. They weren’t doing what most of us expect satellites to do, which is to all follow a specific, common orbit along a certain inclination.
From the description on UFO Seekers’ video:
Our team filmed this on 08/04/2023 at 11:44 PM from Pahrump, Nevada. The camera is facing directly north towards the Nevada National Security Site where AREA 6 is located (40-60 miles). The video is playing at the actual speed (1x).
Our team does not know if they're satellites, aircraft, drones, etc. The sighting could have been filmed continuously for an unknown amount of time. Our team filmed it for roughly 11 minutes.
As you can imagine, a lot of UFOlogists are pretty excited about this, as this is video evidence of mysterious UFOs flying in the military’s restricted areas! Well, almost. The location is actually pretty messed up. Pahrump, where they say the video was shot from, is off the bottom of the map (not too far). They say it’s 40-60 miles south of Area 6, which is a reasonable estimate. But looking north from Pahrump, the UFOs could have been over any of that whole region of Nevada — there’s no reason at all to think these UFOs are over Area 6, Area 51, or anywhere else in the Nevada Test Range. There is no way to guess how far away they may have been. (In fact, if these were little craft, 40-60 miles would make it awfully hard to see them.)
Well, it didn’t take the rational portion of Internetland long at all to positively ID these UFOs, and in the process to figure out precisely where they were. It all happened — as such things tend to — on the Metabunk forums.
