Yeah, if you're complaining about birthrates in your country and then trying to deport millions of workers and spenders, then your concern isn't "the economy".

I won't be around to see the actual decrease in global population... but I wonder why I read many suggestions for increasing birthrates, but nothing about how to prosper as populations decline. Surely there are economists (or others) with ideas that, perhaps, we should start applying today. I just haven't run across them. Some countries may need such advice today.

I wish the population was shrinking! It would be good for the planet. Why would anyone have babies solely to populate the planet? I feel sorry for those babies. They're not plants!

Yeah, you'd think that people who wanted a higher birth rate would welcome birth tourism. But no, they don't want THOSE people multiplying.

Brian:

I do agree with the points you made in your article, and I thank you for your work.

Thanos WAS IN NO WAY RIGHT! indeed one of the worst fictional villains of any story!

There is a big difference between trying to control birth rates and improving the health and quality of life for the world’s people.

But Thanos murdered literally trillions of individuals because he thought he knew what was best for everyone.

Your choice of the Thanos meme was an extremely poor one.

That is one of the reasons the conspiracy crowd claims that there exists a global depopulation agenda, and you just gave them more (hopefully false)confirmation that skeptics and science advocates are in favor of depopulation.

At least someone like Darth Vader just wanted power and control similar to your average dictator. If you stayed out of his way, you were probably ok, what makes Thanos so revolting is that he felt he had the right to take an untold number of lives just because he was somehow qualified to make that decision.

Next time, maybe leave one of the worst characters of all time off your article?

Unless, deep down somehow you agree or sympathize with Thanos, as some people that I know personally do, which is not good company to be in!
